Oversight
As Treasurer, my responsibility is to safeguard taxpayer dollars and ensure that every tax bill and government payment follows the policies, tax rates, and budget approved by the Board of County Commissioners. I will maintain strict internal controls, follow best practices in cash management, and provide the oversight necessary to protect public funds. My focus is on accuracy, accountability, and stewardship — because every dollar entrusted to the Treasurer’s Office belongs to the people of Calvert County.
Solutions
Calvert County deserves a Treasurer’s Office that works as efficiently as its citizens do. I will expand secure online and mobile payment options, shorten deposit and processing times, and introduce self-service options. These upgrades will make paying bills and accessing information faster, easier, and more convenient.
As Benjamin Franklin once said, “Nothing is certain except death and taxes.” If we must have taxes, then my job is to make the process as simple and painless as possible.
